International Generations Meeting is a private initiative of citizens from Darmstadt and surroundings that provides the opportunity for international students to meet Germans and other international people of various generations off campus. We would like
- to get in touch with international students
- to be friends and hosts
- to help with everyday's affairs
- to show what Germany looks like beyond the campus
- to meet interesting people from other cultures
We organize various activities: Hiking and bicycle tours, international cooking and dining in the homes of German hosts, art projects, discussing rounds with other international students, assistance to improve your knowledge of the German language and much more. First of all we offer you our hospitality!
In 2008 International Generations Meeting received an award of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their excellent contribution to integrate international students into German enviroment. The City of Darmstadt awarded a prize in 2010 to IGM because the project contributes to the cosmopolitian efforts of the city.

You can take part in the activities as often as you want, there is no membership.
Most offers are free of charge, sometimes we ask for a symbolic contribution.
